Description
With the expected Winter Storm Warning in effect from 7:00pm Saturday through 12:00pm on Monday, the Public Works Crew will be working to make roads passable and not necessarily clear. Please use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary. Public Works will focus on hills, intersections and primary streets throughout the storm. With our limited staff, the Borough will do its best to keep up with this storm.
As a reminder, road salt becomes significantly less effective below 15-20˚F.
The Borough needs your assistance, please help with the following:
• With the amount of snow predicted, please utilize off-street parking, if available.
• DO NOT shovel snow into the street as it complicates the snow removal process.
• If you have a fire hydrant in front of your home, please remove the snow around it, if capable.
• Be mindful of your neighbors, especially the elderly or disabled and pets.
