Description
Due to anticipated snow and possible ice conditions, South Park Township is declaring a SNOW AND ICE EMERGENCY from 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24th, until 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 26th, in accordance with Ordinance No. 651.
Residents are asked to move any vehicles that are parked along Township streets to driveways and garages which will assist the Public Works Department in efficiently performing winter maintenance activities. Residents who do not have driveways are asked to park as close to the curb as possible or in the grass.
Every effort will be made to maintain Township streets as expeditiously as possible. Weather conditions such as ice may necessitate that Public Works employees drive at slower speeds because of safety concerns. We ask that the public remain patient during this event. Please stay at home, if possible. Stranded vehicles severely hamper snow removal efforts. If travel is necessary, reduce your speed, avoid sudden stops, and refrain from tailgating other drivers.
Thank you for your cooperation.
