Extreme Cold Watch issued January 23 at 11:25AM CST until January 26 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Corpus Christi TX
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 11 degrees.
* WHERE...Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal San Patricio,
Duval, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland San Patricio, Jim
Wells, Kleberg Islands, Nueces Islands, and Webb Counties.
* WHEN...From Saturday evening through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
