Description
The Christiana Mayor has declared a snow emergency effective January 24, 2026.

We are asking all residents with private driveways to utilize them to limit the number of vehicles on borough roadways.

All vehicles must be removed from both sides of Broad Street, Elm Street, and W. Slokom Avenue no later than 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Temporary limited parking is available in the Honeywell Fabrication lot off Mill Street. Parking is permitted only in the orange-shaded areas shown on the attached diagram. The alley and driveway need to remain open. Please Park in a manner that maximizes the number of available spaces. This is private property, and vehicles must be removed from this area as soon as the snow event has ended and your regular parking area is accessible. Any vehicle not removed in a timely manner will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Temporary parking is also available at the Lions Club Park, located at 325 N. Bridge Street. Vehicles must be moved from this area as soon as your regular parking area is open. Any vehicle not removed in a timely manner will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Please note: The Methodist Church has notified us that parking will no longer be permitted in their Mill Street lot.

Residents with a fire hydrant in front of their home are asked to help by keeping it clear of snow in case of an emergency.

Please also check on your neighbors and elderly residents.

Thank you for your cooperation, and stay safe!
