Winter Storm Safety Reminder
With heavy snow and freezing temperatures expected, please keep the following in mind:
• Avoid unnecessary travel; icy roads delay emergency response.
• Clear snow from fire hydrants and keep furnace/generator vents clear.
• Use space heaters safely-keep 3 feet from anything that can burn.
• Never use grills, ovens, or generators indoors or in garages.
• Ensure smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors are working.
• Let faucets drip and open sink cabinets to help prevent frozen pipes.
• Clear driveways and make sure house numbers are visible for responders.
• Check on elderly neighbors and those who may need assistance.
Response times may be longer due to road conditions.
