Extreme Cold Watch issued January 22 at 9:08AM CST until January 26 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Corpus Christi TX
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 10 above possible.
* WHERE...Bee, Coastal Aransas, Coastal Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg,
Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal San Patricio, Goliad,
Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland Refugio,
Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, Live Oak, and Victoria Counties.
* WHEN...From Saturday evening through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Dense Fog Advisory has been allowed to
expire. However, visibilities 1/4 to 1/2 miles across some
locations may continue at times.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
