Extreme Cold Watch issued January 22 at 12:31AM CST until January 26 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Corpus Christi TX
* WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility one quarter mile or
less in dense fog. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold
wind chills as low as 7 above zero possible.
* WHERE...Bee, Coastal Aransas, Coastal Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg,
Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal San Patricio, Goliad,
Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland Refugio,
Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, Live Oak, and Victoria Counties.
* WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 9 AM CST this morning.
For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Saturday evening through Monday
morning.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. Hazardous driving conditions due
to low visibility.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.
