As a courtesy to our snowplow drivers, please utilize off-street parking during snow events if it is available to you. This will enable our plows to be more effective in clearing the roadways, as parked vehicles become obstacles to snow removal and storage. This is especially important in cul-de-sacs, where parked vehicles seriously inhibit our ability to clear and stack the removed snow.
Additionally, while we do our best to push the snow to least objectionable areas, we are sometimes very limited as to where we can push that snow in residential neighborhoods. We cannot block access to driveways, pedestrian access points, mailboxes, fire hydrants, or any critical infrastructure. As such, we do our best to find spots to push the snow given the limited options available. Please keep this mind when choosing a spot to park a vehicle on the street when off street parking is not an option.
