Description
The Borough is closely monitoring the potential storm expected this weekend. A snow emergency parking ban will likely be put in place for Sunday and Monday.
Cold temperatures and strong winds are expected. Please remove trash cans from all roadways and sidewalks to allow crews to work safely and efficiently.
This storm has the potential to be significant. Borough staff will prioritize plowing emergency routes and state roads first, followed by secondary roads. The primary goal will be to keep roadways open; curb-to-curb cleanup will occur once snowfall begins to slow.
We ask for your patience, as this is expected to be a long and challenging storm for Borough crews. Salt shortages are being reported across the state, which adds to the difficulty—especially since salt is less effective in extremely cold temperatures.
Residents are strongly encouraged to stay off the roads and remain home during this potential storm whenever possible. Storm updates will be posted here and on White Haven Borough Facebook page.
