We would like to remind all property owners within Caernarvon Township to remove snow and ice from your sidewalks. Also a reminder that vehicles are not permitted to be parked on all township streets during snow storms.
❄️ Snow Parking & Snow Removal Notice ❄️
To ensure safe travel and efficient snow removal during winter weather, we ask all residents to please follow the Township Snow Parking Ordinance and the Township Snow and Ice Removal Ordinance set in place.
🚫 Do not park on streets during snow events or when snow removal operations are underway. Vehicles left on the roadway may delay plowing and vehicles in violation will be ticketed or towed in accordance with Caernarvon Township ordinances.
🚜 Snow removal crews need full access to streets to clear snow curb-to-curb for emergency access and public safety. Snow removal requires that the snow be plowed onto and over the curb-line of the street or road within the public right-of-way. Flying snow or ice can be expected to be thrown from the snow plowing equipment.
✅ REMINDERS:
• Move vehicles off street as soon as snowfall begins
• Do not return vehicles to streets until plowing is complete
• Observe all temporary snow emergency or no-parking notices
• Keep all fire hydrants and sidewalks clear
• Do not pile or dump snow or ice into the streets
• Ensure your mailbox is properly installed and can withstand the weight of snow
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe during winter weather.
