Cold Weather Advisory issued January 20 at 12:57AM EST until January 20 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Binghamton NY
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 15 below.
* WHERE...In New York, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Yates
Counties. In Pennsylvania, Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Northern
Wayne, Pike, Southern Wayne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could
result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
exposure.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph are possible
through this morning.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
