Snow Squall Warning issued January 19 at 12:15PM EST until January 19 at 12:30PM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 1215 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line from
near Brockway to over Beaver, or along a line from 21 miles northeast
of Brookville to over Monaca, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
greater than 35 mph.

SOURCE...Doppler radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

Locations impacted include...
McCandless Township, Cranberry, Moon Township, New Castle, Butler,
Franklin Park, East Liverpool, Aliquippa, Beaver Falls,
Punxsutawney, Monaca, Clarion, Kittanning, Brookville, Rimersburg,
Hampton Township, Harrison Township, Economy, Ellwood City and
Ambridge.

This includes the following highways...
Parkway North between mile markers 12 and 13. Interstate 80 in
Pennsylvania between mile markers 60 and 85. Interstate 79 in
Pennsylvania between mile markers 70 and 105. Interstate 376 between
mile markers 17 and 51. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 1
and 39.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

There is no safe place on a highway when a snow squall hits.
Visibility and traction are immediately lost in whiteout conditions,
making it difficult or impossible to slow down and avoid stopped
vehicles. Delay travel or safely exit the highway before the snow
squall arrives.
