* Snow Squall Warning for...
Columbiana County in east central Ohio...
Northeastern Jefferson OH County in east central Ohio...
Northern Allegheny County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
Northwestern Washington County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
Armstrong County in west central Pennsylvania...
Butler County in west central Pennsylvania...
Southern Clarion County in west central Pennsylvania...
Western Jefferson PA County in west central Pennsylvania...
Beaver County in western Pennsylvania...

Hancock County in northern West Virginia...

* Until 1230 PM EST.

* At 1129 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
from 8 miles southeast of Clarion to 10 miles west of Wellsville,
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts
greater than 35 mph.

SOURCE...Doppler radar and webcams.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

* Locations impacted include...
McCandless Township, Cranberry, Moon Township, New Castle, Weirton,
Steubenville, Butler, Franklin Park, Salem, East Liverpool,
Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Columbiana, Punxsutawney, Monaca, Clarion,
East Palestine, Kittanning, Brookville and Wellsville.

This includes the following highways...
Parkway North between mile markers 11 and 13. Interstate 80 in
Pennsylvania between mile markers 59 and 85. Interstate 79 in
Pennsylvania between mile markers 69 and 106. Interstate 376 between
mile markers 16 and 52. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 1
and 40.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

There is no safe place on a highway when a snow squall hits.
Visibility and traction are immediately lost in whiteout conditions,
making it difficult or impossible to slow down and avoid stopped
vehicles. Delay travel or safely exit the highway before the snow
squall arrives.
