Freeze Watch issued January 17 at 2:46PM EST until January 19 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees north of
Tampa Bay, and as low as 30 degrees over parts of Polk and inland
Hillsborough Counties.
* WHERE...Coastal Citrus, Coastal Hernando, Coastal Levy, Inland
Citrus, Inland Hernando, Inland Hillsborough, Inland Levy, Inland
Pasco, Polk, and Sumter Counties.
* WHEN...From late Sunday night through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
