Red Flag Warning issued January 17 at 12:01PM CST until January 17 at 8:00PM CST by NWS Houston/Galveston TX
...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM TO 8 PM CST SATURDAY FOR
GUSTY NORTH WINDS, DRY FUEL AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS...
* WINDS...North 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will be capable of spreading
rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Obey all local
burn restrictions and burn bans.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.
