Red Flag Warning issued January 16 at 12:03PM CST until January 17 at 8:00PM CST by NWS Corpus Christi TX

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS SATURDAY...

.Significantly drier air will move into the region Saturday in
the wake of the cold front. This will lead to very low relative
humidity values along with moderate to strong winds with Energy
Release Component values in the 75-85th percentile.

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Red
Flag Warning for all of South Texas, which is in effect from 9 AM
to 8 PM CST Saturday.

* AFFECTED AREA...La Salle, McMullen, Live Oak, Bee, Goliad,
Victoria, Webb, Duval, Jim Wells, Inland Kleberg, Inland
Nueces, Inland San Patricio, Coastal Aransas, Inland Refugio,
Inland Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal San
Patricio, Aransas Islands, Coastal Refugio, Coastal Calhoun,
Kleberg Islands, Nueces Islands and Calhoun Islands.

* TIMING...9 AM to 8 PM

* WINDS...Northeast 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 62.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior. Residents are urged to
exercise care with respect to all outdoor activities that could
inadvertently cause wildfires. Report wildfires quickly to the
nearest fire department or law enforcement office.
