Winter Storm Warning issued January 2 at 12:20PM EST until January 2 at 10:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo NY
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 4 inches.
* WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie
Counties. The greatest additional accumulations will be along the
Lake Erie shore, Boston Hills, and Chautauqua Ridge.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions will impact the Friday evening commute.
During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just
a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
