Snow Squall Warning issued January 1 at 1:45AM EST until January 1 at 2:15AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
South Central Allegheny County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
Western Fayette County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
Eastern Greene County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
Southeastern Washington County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
Southwestern Westmoreland County in southwestern Pennsylvania...
Northeastern Monongalia County in northern West Virginia...

* Until 215 AM EST.

* At 145 AM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
from over Ligonier to over Fredericktown-Millsboro, or along a line
from 9 miles southeast of Latrobe to 11 miles northeast of
Waynesburg, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to
blowing snow and rapidly falling visibility. Wind gusts up
to 35 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous
within minutes.

* Locations impacted include...
Morgantown, Greensburg, Uniontown, Jeannette, Latrobe,
Connellsville, Monessen, California, Donora, Mount Pleasant,
Scottdale, Monongahela, Charleroi, Masontown,
McChesneytown-Loyalhanna, Youngwood, West Newton, Bentleyville,
Lawson Heights and Brownsville.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 68 in West Virginia between mile markers 6 and 11.
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania near mile marker 25...and between mile
markers 27 and 57. Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 69 and
83.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
