Winter Weather Advisory issued December 26 at 2:25PM EST until December 27 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations less than one inch. Ice accumulations of 0.20" to
0.40" expected.
* WHERE...Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...From 10 AM Friday to 4 AM EST Saturday. The majority of the
wintry mix and travel impacts will occur from early afternoon
through early evening.
* IMPACTS...A few power outages and tree damage are possible due to
the ice. Travel could be very difficult with icy and dangerous
roads. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute
and post Christmas holiday travel.
Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery
roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while
driving.
