Winter Weather Advisory issued December 25 at 7:18PM EST until December 27 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Binghamton NY
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations between 1 and 4 inches and ice accumulations around
a light glaze.
* WHERE...In New York, Chemung and Steuben Counties. In
Pennsylvania, Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Wyoming Counties.
* WHEN...From noon Friday to 7 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A mix of snow and sleet moves into the area
Friday afternoon, some freezing rain could mix in during the
evening hours. The wintry mix of snow, sleet and possibly freezing
rain continues into the overnight hours before ending early
Saturday morning. Localized higher amounts are possible in eastern
Lackawanna county, depending on how much sleet mixes in with the
snow.
