Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 14 at 12:58PM EST until December 15 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Buffalo NY
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 3 to
6 inches.
* WHERE...Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie Counties. The
greatest accumulations will focus across the Chautauqua Ridge and
Boston Hills.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions will impact the Monday morning commute.
Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be
prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow with greatly reduced visibilities to dry conditions just
a few miles away. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
