Winter Storm Warning issued December 11 at 3:38AM EST until December 12 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 3 and 5 inches.
* WHERE...Southern Erie County.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery conditions
with with slower travel likely The hazardous conditions could
impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow totals will vary based on where lake
effect bands persist. The heaviest snow is expected through
daybreak with lighter snow showers today into tonight.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel
restrictions and delay unnecessary travel. Visit www.511pa.com for

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.
