Winter Storm Warning issued December 10 at 9:29PM EST until December 12 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations between 3
and 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph.
* WHERE...Southern Erie County.
* WHEN...Until 4 AM EST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.
The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow totals will vary based on where lake
effect bands persist. The heaviest snow is expected tonight with
lighter snow showers Thursday into Thursday night. Temperatures
will fall to near 20 degrees overnight allowing wet snow or water
on roads to freeze.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania
Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel
restrictions and delay unnecessary travel. Visit www.511pa.com for

If you must travel in the warned area, drive with extreme caution.
Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such
items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets
and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything
else that would help you survive in case you become stranded.
