Description
As a follow up to the alert sent yesterday about the closing of the community center. The emergency pertained to the fire alarm system. The system failed and went on back up batteries. The batteries then failed. Our service provider is uncertain of the cause and was unable to obtain parts that late on a Friday afternoon. We will be working again first thing Monday morning to find the cause of the issue and get it fixed. Under the building code, the township is not legally allowed to have people in the building without a fire alarm system as this is a health and safety issue. We will work diligently to correct this problem and get the center open as soon as possible. We apologize for the incovenience.
