Winter Storm Warning issued December 2 at 12:45AM EST until December 3 at 1:00AM EST by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
9 inches, with higher amounts of 9 to 12 inches in the southern
Green Mountains.
* WHERE...Portions of western Massachusetts, east central New York,
and southern Vermont.
* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 1 AM EST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult to
impossible. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the morning and evening commutes today.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate to heavy snow will impact the
evening commute today. Snowfall rates of 0.5" to 1" are expected.
Caution is advised for all motorists.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
