Description
We've all been there - so excited to decorate for Christmas, then disappointed because the strands of lights stored in the attic for the past year no longer work.

Did you know that Christmas lights can be recycled? Avalon Borough is happy to collaborate with Michael Brothers, the Quaker Valley Council of Governments, and Project Bundle Up to turn OLD, BROKEN lights into warm new winter coats for children and senior citizens. Light strands can be dropped into a collection bin located in the lobby of the Avalon Borough Building during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

In December 2024, Michael Brothers donated over $8,600.00 to Project Bundle Up as a result of their Christmas Light Recycling program. Your recycling efforts will directly help the environment and members of our own community.
