Water Leak Repaired/Boil Notice

Description
Thanks to the hard work of our Public Works crew and our contractor, the major break on the 16 inch water line has been repaired. The crew is currently opening the tower and bringing the system back to full pressure. It will take some time to pressure up all over town, but everything should be in order this evening and overnight before school and work in the morning.
Per state regulation for precautionary reasons, a boil water advisory will be in effect due to the loss of system pressure. As soon as the water is sampled and cleared, I will provide a notice on that.
I will have an update in the morning regarding the cause of this leak and the City’s next steps. For now, good night and thank you to all!
