Description
Please be advised that residents who purchased a tippable toter through the Borough in the first round of orders should have now received a bill from Erie Water Works for the fourth quarter of 2025.
On this bill, you will see the full cost of the trash bin. For example, if you ordered one toter, the charge will appear as $70.
Residents may choose to pay either part or all (or none) of this amount with their fourth-quarter 2025 bill. Any remaining balance from the $70 charge will automatically carry over to the first quarter 2026 bill.
No late fees will be applied for any portion of the $70 balance that remains unpaid on the fourth-quarter 2025 bill. Erie Water Works has confirmed that this billing method was the most effective way to track and display the toter charge within their system.
We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Please remember that residents have two billing cycles—fourth quarter 2025 and first quarter 2026—to pay the full amount. The balance must be paid in full by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
