Put simply, the road is shutdown now except to local traffic. Come Monday, the contractor will be back out here replacing the concrete patch with a limestone compacted gravel. This will get us through the year until next year when we will come through and complete a full depth road reconstruction using a grant for $530,000.
The reason we did this is because we didn't want to do a full depth 6in asphalt patch that would've been more expensive and then we would rip it out next year during the reconstruction.
