Freeze Watch issued October 15 at 12:25PM EDT until October 17 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 33 will
result in frost formation, with lower probability for temperature
to drop below freezing. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 31 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, northwest, southwest, and
western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia.
* WHEN...For the Frost Advisory, from midnight tonight to 9 AM EDT
Thursday. For the Freeze Watch, from late Thursday night through
Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive
outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
