Description
First responders and utility crews are currently responding to a 4-inch gas main leak at 361 Franklin Road.
The current estimated time to repair is 6 p.m. 10/8/2025.
Atmos has informed the City of Bruceville-Eddy that this distribution line will need to be completely shut off in order to make the needed repairs. Approximately 80 customers in the area will be without natural gas service.
Electricity to homes in the vicinity of Pine Street and Franklin Road will be temporarily disconnected while the repair is being made.
Road Closures (please avoid the area):
Pine Street: Franklin to I-35
Franklin Road: 4th Street to Wade
Evacuations have been completed for those deemed necessary. Residents in the area (Franklin Road and Pine Street) are instructed to shelter in place immediately.
Please take the following actions:
Go indoors and stay inside.
Close all windows and doors.
Do not leave your home until you are given the all-clear.
