Description
Earlier this week, at Meade and N. Duke, our Public Works crew was notified of a manhole overflowing. The cause was someone illegally dumping oil and anti-freeze into the manhole cover. Luckily, our safety inserts caught the liquid before it entered the storm sewer.
THIS IS NOT OK!
We drink the water from these systems when it goes back into the local waterways. You can kill wildlife and essential organisms and pollute our waterways.
Anyone with information as to who did this should notify the Borough Office immediately. The Borough staff is dedicated to protecting you and our environment. Please help!
