Freeze Watch issued October 8 at 2:15AM EDT until October 10 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 32 will
result in frost formation Wednesday night. For the Freeze Watch,
sub-freezing temperatures as low as the mid 20s possible Thursday
night.
* WHERE...Cambria, Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Potter, Somerset,
Tioga, and Warren Counties.
* WHEN...For the Frost Advisory, from Wednesday evening through
Thursday morning. For the Freeze Watch, from Thursday evening
through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive
outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
Those with agricultural interests should protect sensitive
vegetation.
Near-ground freezing temperatures could kill uncovered sensitive
outdoor vegetation.
