Description
At the September 25, 2025, City Council meeting, a trash rate increase was approved to begin in December in the amount of 2.05% across currently established fees. The rates are to take effect with the current billing cycle (mailings sent in January). For the majority of our customers, this will result in a $0.38 per residential cart increase (for a single residential cart) excluding taxes and fuel.
This increase was necessary due to rising industry costs for the disposal of solid waste and was based off a pre-approved agreement with our vendor.
