Description
We want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of following the law and practicing safe riding behavior while operating E-bikes and other modes of transportation. As our community embraces these eco-friendly alternatives, it is vital that we prioritize safety on the roads for both riders and pedestrians.

To assist you, we have compiled a list of E-Bike Safety Tips and Etiquette to ensure a safe experience for all. By following these guidelines, we can foster a harmonious relationship between all modes of transportation and significantly reduce the risk of accidents. You can find these tips at the following website: https://www.ebicycles.com/electric-bike-safety-tips/

E-Bike Safety and Etiquette Tips

Safety and courtesy should always be a priority when biking:

Know the type and specifications of the device you’re riding and where you can ride it.
- Maintain safe speeds at all times, consider road and weather conditions, and always be cognizant of other users along the road.
- Stay to the right, pass on the left.
- Limit distractions, don’t impair your hearing (i.e., by wearing headphones or ear buds).
- Obey all road signs.
- Slow down in congested areas.
- If you’re on wheels, yield to pedestrians.
- Helmets are required by law for persons under the age of 12 and are recommended for bicyclists of all ages.
- Maintain single file when passing or being passed.
- Don’t block roads. When taking a break, move to the side of the road to allow others to pass safely.
- Expect the unexpected.
