Description
Sullivan Trail will be closed begining Tuesday, September 2nd, from Church Lane to Uhler Road for PennDOT required work. There will be a detour in place which is attached to this alert. The road construction may last until December 1st but it is anticipated that the road closure may only be approximately three weeks long. At other times there will be single lane closures with flaggers directing traffic.
The detour (map is attached to this alert) is over Church Lane, onto Kesslersville, onto Uhler and back out to Sullivan Trail. Trucks are being directed to remain on Route 33 via signage placed on the highway.
The contractor will maintain communication with the neighbors whose driveways are adjacent to the roadwork. Ramps will be provided to ensure they can get in and out as needed.
If the contractor will be working directly in front of a driveway, the residents will be notified in advance of any time restrictions. While these disruptions should be kept to a minimum, there may be brief periods during the workday when access is delayed while work is taking place directly in front of a residential driveway area.
