Description
The first stage of the township chip seal project, which is also known as tar and chip, has been completed. The roadways will now harden over the next few weeks. On Tuesday, September 2nd the company will begin to sweep all the newly chipped streets to remove the excess stones. A coating known as a FOG coat will then be put into place to seal the roads for longer wear. This second phase of the project may take several days, weather depending, but will be completed by Friday, September 5th. The following roads will be affected - Forks Avenue, Blossom Hill Road, Clarendon Drive, Roseberry Avenue, and W. Ramblewood Drive. As the FOG coat is put into place, there may be times where the road will be closed to all traffic while it dries which is approximately 30 minutes. If you have questions whether it is safe to drive on the road please ask one of the crew members on site. Thank you for your cooperation. Another alert will be sent as a reminder closer to September 2, 2025.
