Description
Flood Warning issued August 17 at 11:55PM EDT until August 18 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern New Jersey, including the following
counties, Burlington and Camden and southeast Pennsylvania,
including the following counties, Bucks, Montgomery and
Philadelphia.

* WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of small rivers, creeks, streams, and other
low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. It
will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1150 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is
already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Philadelphia, Camden, Bensalem, Mount Laurel, Willingboro,
Medford, Lumberton, Florence, Burlington, Bristol, Mount
Holly and Riverside.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
