Special Marine Warning issued August 17 at 6:38AM EDT until August 17 at 7:15AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH

Nearshore waters from Conneaut OH to Ripley NY...
Open waters from Conneaut OH to Ripley NY...
At 636 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 nm west of Ripley to 11 nm south of Conneaut, moving
east at 35 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
Erie.
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
