Special Marine Warning issued August 17 at 5:58AM EDT until August 17 at 7:15AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH
For the following areas...
Nearshore waters from Willowick OH to Ripley NY...
Open waters from Geneva-on-the-lake OH to Ripley NY...
At 558 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 15 nm northwest of Erie to 7 nm south of
Geneva-On-The-Lake, moving east at 35 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
Erie, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Conneaut, and Ashtabula.
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
