The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a
* Special Marine Warning for...
Nearshore and Open waters from Willowick OH to Ripley NY...
* Until 200 AM EDT.
* At 1231 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 41 nm north of Ashtabula to 26 nm northwest of
Geneva-On-The-Lake to 17 nm northwest of Fairport Harbor. These
storms are producing a strong outflow boundary, moving east at 30
knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.
* Locations impacted include...
Erie, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Conneaut, Willowick, Fairport Harbor, and
Ashtabula.
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
