Below is an explanation of a great volunteer opportunity for all of those interested.
Vandergrift Area Meals On Wheels is an all-volunteer organization which
delivers hot meals five days a week, Monday thru Friday, to anyone who
requests it. We cover all of Allegheny Township, as well as other
municipalities including Hyde Park, West Leechburg, Vandergrift and some of
Parks Township.
The organization is in need of volunteers in all positions, including cooking
and packing in the kitchen located in the old Greek Orthodox church building
on Lincoln Street in Vandergrift.
Especially needed are drivers/deliverers to cover the sprawling area of
Allegheny Township.
