TRAVEL ADVISORY
STATE ROUTE 23A OVER KAATERSKILL FALLS IN HUNTER TO CLOSE TO LARGE TRUCKS
The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the bridge carrying State Route 23A over Spruce Creek (Kaaterskill Falls) in the Town of Hunter, Greene County, will be closed to vehicles with more than two axles beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, August 11, through approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday, August 16, to accommodate bridge repair. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.
Drivers of vehicles with more than two axles should follow the signed detour utilizing State Routes 32, 23 and 296. Motorists should anticipate travel delays and build extra travel time into their schedule. Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
