The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern New Castle County in northern Delaware...
Southwestern Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 209 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 3 inches in
1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by
thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Chester, Swarthmore, Arden, Chelsea, Concordville, Lima, Chester
Township, Elam, Gradyville, Talleyville, Nether Providence
Township and Greenville.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.
