Description
Clean-up continues from this past weekend's storms, and several roads will continue to be closed for an extended period of time. Please remember, closure duration is an estimate at this time, and is weather-dependent. Here is the updated list, as of this afternoon (July 30th):
1. Stringtown Road and Havensport Road repairs will be managed by the Fairfield County Engineer's office. They will be closed for an extended period of time. As we get updates from them, we will let you know.
2. Election House Rd between Ginder Rd and Havensport Rd. has been finished for now. The steel plates are gone, and the area is filled with gravel (temporarily). The road will be patched in the near future.
3. Rauch Rd is coming together nicely. The Road Crew has been working there today, and should be wrapping up soon. No set finish date, but they are making noticable progress each day. The crew has noticed a few more issues that need addressed as they are working on the repairs, but it shouldn't add too many more days to the timeline.
4. Thank you to the resident that alerted Chief Smith to the hole and berm issue along Rainbow Drive, between Rt. 158 and Stringtown Rd. We were able to get it repiared today. If you drive through this area, you would have seen Trustee Kosch helping flag traffic!
5. The contractor doing the culvert replacement on Ginder Rd. (between Rt 158 and Stringtown) is back on site and will be working to get the project back on track and completed soon. When we receive updates from them, we will let you know.
Once our Road Crew is done on Rauch Rd., the other roads that will experience intermittent lane closures as repairs are completed. This includes: Plum Rd., Ginder Rd., and Burchey Rd. Please make sure you drive with caution through their work zone to keep everyone safe.
Again, we are making attempts to keep you up to date as things change. We will post information every day for the next week or so, as information changes. Once our major repairs are complete, we will start updating you with significant changes only.
Thank you for your patience and consideration during this time.
