Extreme Heat Warning issued July 29 at 1:45AM EDT until July 29 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values over 112
expected.
* WHERE...Coastal Citrus, Coastal Hernando, Coastal Levy, Inland
Citrus, Inland Hernando, Inland Levy, and Sumter Counties.
* WHEN...From noon today to 7 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
