Extreme Heat Watch issued July 28 at 7:16PM EDT until July 29 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values 110 to
115 possible, resulting in Major to Extreme Heat Risk.
* WHERE...Volusia, Lake, Seminole, and Orange Counties. This
includes Orlando and Sanford.
* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
