Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 26 at 8:00PM EDT until July 26 at 8:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 800 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mount Gretna
Heights, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ephrata, Columbia, Lititz, Mount Joy, Manheim, East Petersburg,
Cornwall, Akron, Salunga-Landisville, Rothsville, Mountville, and
Lebanon South.
This includes The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 260 to 275.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
