Description
Comcast is working to install cable lines throughout the township to provide services to residents. They are currently working on the underground lines and will then move to the above ground. They are marking the streets and easements with WHITE temporary paint as a first step in the process called PA One Call. All utilities - water, gas, sewer, stormwater, street lights and electric are notified of the need to come out, within three days of the alert, and see if there is any utility that will be affected where the white mark has been placed. If a utility has lines in the area of the work they too will mark the area with their designated color. Attached is a chart of PA One Call colors. The contractor will know by the color or colors marked in the area as to what lines he must avoid during construction. Comcast is placing door hangers on properties in the areas where they are working. Each Sunday a Savvy alert will be sent to advise residents as to the streets that will be worked on the following week. Weather and construction issues could change that schedule slightly in which case a new alert will be sent.
