Description
Flash Flood Warning issued July 16 at 7:12PM EDT until July 16 at 8:15PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 712 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain in Bakerstown Road in Richland Township is being closed due to
water over the road. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Ross Township, McCandless Township, Franklin Park, Vandergrift,
Apollo, Shaler Township, Plum, Murrysville, Hampton Township, New
Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison Township, O'hara Township,
Wexford, Oakmont, Fox Chapel, Arnold, Tarentum, Natrona Heights
and Springdale.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
